SUNCLAY PANEL
PANEL COLOR
SUNCLAY ARCHITECTURAL TERRACOTTA leverages advanced technology and premium clay to produce a palette of unique colors including natural, uni-glazed, focus-glazed, and natural in glazed, allowing architects to craft distinctive and individual project aesthetics.
SUNCLAY Natural Color offers a full-body color created through precise automated processes and rigorous raw material management, leveraging extensive expertise. This range features terracotta’s inherent colors in various finishes including smooth, rough, wind, storm, sandblast, and polishing, each adding a unique texture to the architectural design.
SUNCLAY Uni Glazed Color is crafted by applying a range of natural mineral glazes to a bisque-fired clay body, followed by high-temperature firing. This method produces a limitless spectrum of colors and offers finishes in matte, satin, and high gloss, which bring dynamic and vibrant enhancements to any building.
SUNCLAY Nature in Glazed Color starts with a bisque-fired pure clay body that is then digitally glazed with custom designs before a final high-temperature firing. Drawing inspiration from nature, this technique opens up a world of creative possibilities with textures like sand, stone, rock, aqua, timber, metal, cloud, and sparkle.

PANEL SHAPE
Sunclay Architecture Terracotta’s cutting-edge technology enables a broad spectrum of designs that are custom-tailored to each building’s requirements. Architects have a variety of options including Entry, Premium, Prestige, Curved, Louver, and 3D shapes.
SUNCLAY ENTRY SERIES is offered with a basic thickness of 20T FS System and is available in flat or grooved forms, and in a range of colors including natural, uni glazed, sandblast, and nature glazed. The finishes available — wind, storm, sandblast, and polish — ensure that the terracotta contributes to both ecological and substantial architectural value.
SUNCLAY PREMIUM SERIES provides additional thickness options beyond the standard 20T FS System, including 30T and 40T. This series introduces unique shapes such as waved, louver tiles, uneven, and asymmetric, which are not seen in the Entry Series. With color options like natural, uni glazed, sandblast, and nature glazed, and finishes such as wind, storm, sandblast, and polish, this series allows for bespoke designs that amplify terracotta’s inherent value and bring architects’ visions to life.
SUNCLAY MASTERPIECES SERIES caters to elite architectural needs with thicknesses up to 150T. Shapes like mountain, valley, Montserrat, twist, and organic are specially crafted to meet the demands of top-tier architectural projects, such as those seen with Hermes.
SUNCLAY CURVED SERIES can transform standard panels and baguettes into distinctive shapes like concave, convex, twist, and wrinkle as per architectural designs, allowing for sophisticated and exclusive design manifestations unique to terracotta.
SAFETY STYSTEM
Effective from January 27, 2022, the Serious Accidents Punishment Act requires heightened safety measures for workplaces with five or more employees.
With the Korean Peninsula no longer a safe haven from earthquakes and increasingly subject to severe super typhoons, it’s essential that the structural safety and lifespan of a building’s exterior match those of the building itself. At SUNPARK’s Green Building System Research Institute, ongoing research and testing are conducted to ensure we offer the safest terracotta system tailored to the unique demands of South Korea’s architectural environment, making it the most secure terracotta system in the nation.
Wind Load Test Photos and Results
- Limit Wind Pressure Test (ASTM E330)
- The structure failed under a suction pressure of 700Kgf/m², corresponding to a wind velocity of 106m/s. For context, the peak gusts in Typhoon Maemi were about 60m/s.
- We conducted 100 cycles of testing at both positive and negative pressures of 400Kgf/m², with no failures detected.
Seismic Test Photos and Results
- Dynamic & Static Interstory Displacement Test (AAMA 501.4 : AMERICAN)
- AARCHITECTURAL MANUFACTURERS ASSOCIATION) Maximum story drift coefficient of 0.0193, with an applied inter-story drift of 0.0043 (43/10,000) at a height of H=250 mm. No issues are observed for displacements greater than 150 mm, indicating stability in conditions up to a magnitude 8 earthquake.
Fire Resistance Test Photos and Results
- The SUNCLAY SYSTEM underwent fire resistance tests according to the NFPA 285 standard and KS 000 guidelines and successfully passed.
